I went up the Val d’Azun this afternoon to watch the tour in the village of Aucun. It was overcast on the way up but when I got there the sun came out. It was behind the riders which made the photography difficult. Anyway I enjoyed the show, not as much as yesterday, but still FANTASTIC!!!!
Jérémy Roy was first passed me with Thor Hushovd and David Moncoutie 30 seconds later. Thor was motoring and the writing looked on the wall for Roy. Sure enough Thor Hushovd won the stage in Lourdes 24km down the mountain.
There is a presidential election in France next year, Voeckler show run, he’d be a shoo-in, the most popular man in France.
