We had heavy snow on Sunday and Monday, part of what the local paper called the never ending winter. From Wednesday it has been dry and sunny but bitterly cold as anybody who was watching Paris-Nice will know. Despite this the presence of spring is everywhere to see, trees and bushes are sprouting leafs and animal that have been hibernating are re-emerging, I seen the first Gecko of the year today and during the week the first Hedgehog in the garden. The forecast is good and we will have up to 20c next week.
Despite a poor TT Nicholas Roche is having a great race in Paris-Nice, hopeful he will be as good or better come July.
Today was also the opening of trout fishing on the Gave de Pau.
