After our recent summer like weather, winter has returned for a brief spell before spring will finally settles in next week. There is still plenty of snow for skiing on Col du Tourmalet, Luz Ardiden, Gavarnie and Cauterets. In fact there was 10cm of fresh snow last night and the same is expected again tonight.
I left some guests up to the Ski Station at Tournaboup on the Col du Tourmalet this morning. The snow was still falling but there was plenty of people about enjoying the sport. This week is the start of the French winter school holidays, so the stations will be busy for the next few weeks.
