French Winners of Tour de France

19 sleeps until Le Tour de France. I can’t wait.

Who will win? Will a French rider win? Probably not, but other nations still have a long way to catch up.
Despite not winning for the past 25 years, France is still well ahead in stage and GC wins.

France 36
Belgium 18
Spain 13
USA 10
Italy 9
Luxembourg 4
Nederlands 2
Switzerland 2
Germany 1
Denmark 1
Ireland 1

France has had 655 stage wins followed by Belgium with 454.

Last GC win for France 1985. Last GC win for Belgium 1976.
