I cycled up Col du Soulor this afternoon. It was 28°c in the shade, feeling very like summer. The good weather is forcast to continue for at least another week. We have not had any heating on in the house for 2 weeks now, I think that will be it until late October.
Col du Soulor, 3km from the summit.
As the ski station has closed and the summer season has not yet started, there were no cars at all today, just a couple of dozen cyclists.
Col du Soulor.
It is a 21km climb at 5%, but the last 7km average 7.8%.

At the summit looking west towards Col d’Aubisque, the Tour will be along here on 15th July. The road cut into the rock is the Cirque du Litor, this road will be closed until the end of May because of the risk of avalanche.
