Warm summer weather has returned and the forecast is good for the future. All the cols are open that would normally be open this time of year. The Col du Tourmalet is still closed and the local government are carrying out repairs to the road this week which should be finished next week, if the weather allows. So it should be open from La Mongie but may be a while longer before Luz. Our guests from Rotterdam, Netherlands, Ronald & Erik Penders cycled to the ski station at Superbaréges (1800m) today, which is 4 km from the summit. The road is in good condition and free of snow.

As you can see, blue skies on the Col du Tourmalet today. It is a big change from the last 2 weeks. The photo below is of Simon & Claire Dwyer from Gloucestershire, England, at the summit of Hautacam yesterday. They are training for the 100 Col Challenge in the Alps in September.
