Rode up to Cirque du Gavarnie yesterday. Spectacular scenery in the National Park, Gavarnie is a UNESCO World Heritage Site on account of it’s landscape and the pastoralism which continues to be practiced here.

Cirque du Gavarnie.

The landscape of Gavarnie is truly immense, the waterfall is 422 meters high, the highest in Europe. The border between France and Spain runs along the ridge at over 3000 meters altitude, this cliff face is over 1km high.
