I went for a walk along the Gave de Cauterets near Pont d’Espagne to see the autumn colours. Gave is the French word for torrent. The gave de Cauterets flows out of the Glacier des Oullettes at 3000m altitude and cascades for 25km down the mountain to join with the Gave de Pau in Soulom at 455m.
